A self-taught illustrator, I took a more serious approach several years ago by training in different artistic techniques, including engraving, screen printing, stop motion and risography. I have also explored various techniques on my own, such as linocut and intaglio printing. Working classically (with paper, pencils, scissors, paint and brushes) or digitally, I also create short animations (digital and stop motion).
Holding a Master's degree in Art History, I was born in Switzerland, where I currently live and work.
I was lucky enough to grow up in different countries, where I was exposed from an early age to a variety of cultures, traditions and languages that have left their mark on me and my art. While languages and words fascinate me, I also feel close to living beings who express themselves in other ways. Young children and their capacity for wonder, as well as animals, are a constant source of inspiration.
The universe in which I feel comfortable and which I try to convey through my creations is enchanted, poetic, whimsical and gentle. Magic, reverie, melancholy and humor have their place. Those with a child's soul are my friends.
In 2021, I was looking for a name for the new instagram page I wanted to dedicate to my illustrations. The name Poules Renards et compagnie came to me as an obvious choice, as I was mainly drawing these animals at the time. Little by little, the menagerie grew, but the name stuck. I like it because it reminds me of where it all began.
